Lafotographeuse’s photographic practice celebrates dance forms innovated by Black and Latinx New Yorkers. She uses her camera to chronicle the cultural continuum of Soul, Funk, Disco, Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Salsa and R&B music. Her images spotlight ephemeral moments of pleasure, play, performance in motion. Introduced to Litefeet in 2009, she began documenting the culture in 2010 and became an active member of the community in 2022. Over the past three years, she has closely followed and photographed Litefeet’s renaissance in New York City.
